In our distillery we look back on a history of over 100 years, in which we have developed a wide variety of liqueurs. Liqueurs are spirits made from alcohol, sugar and flavoring ingredients such as fruits or herbs. According to the EU regulation, the term liqueur is legally regulated and defined: The sugar content of liqueurs must be at least 100g/l, the alcohol content at least 15% vol.
Liqueur is drunk on many occasions. You can always drink a good liqueur when you want to treat yourself. It can be a mountain herb liqueur as a nightcap after a hard day's work.
It can be a forest strawberry liqueur to toast a friend's birthday, but it can also be a fire liqueur that you light at a party with friends to celebrate a Tyrolean fire ritual.
A liqueur with 18 % vol. freezes from approx. -8 °C. Every liqueur has a certain proportion of pure alcohol. The freezing point of this pure alcohol is -114.5°C. Pure alcohol could be put in any commercial freezer without freezing.
