The Masterwort Spirit is lightly spicy and discretely earthy and leaves behind a fresh, full taste. This spirit could not be more honest and authentic.
We use only the brown, thick and spindly roots of the plant. After careful cleaning we add the alcohol. Over many weeks the Masterwort Spirit releases its many ingredients and aromas. We are talking about a process of maceration during which an aromatic tincture ripens. This tincture is then finally distilled. The result is a fine and extremely representative-tasting spirit. The roots contain bitters, tanning agents, resin and cumin which create a tart, moderately earthy taste, one at the same time aromatically spicy and pleasantly fresh.
