The lingonberry belongs to the blueberry family and grows wild in the Alpine region on low, evergreen bushes. The berries are harvested by hand in July to September and are first white and later bright red. The cranberry has a tart and sour taste. For the Lingonberry Spirit, the berries are preserved in alcohol - the expert refers to this as maceration. In the subsequent distillation of the macerate, the spirit is obtained.
