Herbal Bauern-Bitter
Tiroler Bauernbitter is a classic herbal bitter based on an old recipe by Tyrol's herbal pioneer Gustl Amann! Its long list of ingredients includes gentian root, sage leaves, angostura bark, St. John's wort, black pepper, green walnuts, calamus root, hibiscus flowers and much more.

Gustl Amann was a Tyrolean herbal pioneer. This bitter is still made according to his original recipe. The freshly picked herbs from the Tyrolean mountains are carefully macerated for many weeks. After a generous maturing period, they are finely "married".

This is what the professionals from Falstaff say about the Bauernbitter:  experts from the renowned wine and gourmet journal also tasted our herbal bitters - and were thrilled! The news that our Bauern Bitter not only made it into the herbal bitter test of the renowned journal was as unexpected as it was pleasing, but was also convincing all round. "Intense herbal nose with oregano, sage, mint, aniseed and eucalyptus. Slightly reminiscent of green olives and orange zest. Strikingly bitter on the palate, almost creamy texture with mocha notes, mint and citrus again. Overall very punchy, powerful and long-lasting." We are of course very pleased with this expert verdict!
