The genuine gentian schnapps is distilled from the fermented mash of the yellow gentian root. The herbal distillery is one of the few producers to do this in the old, traditional way.
The digging of the gentian root is strictly regulated. The farmers who supply us therefore have so-called digging rights. Gentian schnapps must have a minimum alcohol content of 37.5 % vol., our genuine Tyrolean schnapps contains 40 % vol.
