About the Crystal Ice and Fireliqueur
The juniper berries and sprouts for this unique Crystal Ice & Fire Liqueur originate right from Kematen’s "backyard mountain", where we harvest them by hand. Its inimitable visual appearance, combined with its unique taste, make this sensational Crystal liqueur a must have for all friends of fire liqueurs!
The Crystal Fireritual
Fill the glass to the brim and set ablaze with a match. You determine the strength – the original is 50% vol.
- After 3 minutes on fire 45% vol.
- After 5 minutes on fire 42% vol.
- After 10 minutes on fire 33% vol.

About Tyrolean juniper
Junipers are part of the cypress family and they are evergreen, very adaptable shrubs or trees of pleasantly aromatic wood. In the Tyrolean Alps, particularly the Common Juniper is widely spread. Its habitat is at heights of over 3,700 m and it can reach 600 years of age. There are many names for the Juniper in the different Tyrolean dialects, such as Kranewitt or Kranichholz, Krammetsbaum, Kranawitterstrauch, Jochandel, Räucherstrauch, Wachtelbeerstrauch or Feuerbaum.
The Mountain juniper “berries” (botanically correct, these are cones) and shoots for the Crystal Ice and Fire Liqueur are hand-picked by the Kräuterdestillerie production team from Kematen’s “backyard mountain”. The growth to mature, berry-shaped cones takes 3 years, only then will the juniper berries have their characteristic black-bluish colour and they can then be processed to this extraordinary fire ritual drink.
